Fonts messed up

In these days my computer got messed up with fonts. I had big troubles with two application: Properties of my printer HP 1200D and Intellicad - Progecad2008 and 2009, and some logout window.
Object Properties of Intellicad were written in large bold type. I' ve found the solution doing this:
- copy *.TT_ and *.FO_ files from Windows XP CDROM \i386 folder to a temp DIR
- expand the files wirh EXPAND -r *.FO and after the same for *.TT_
- install the new fonts within control panel Font Manager (don't copy them in the dir, that didn't work)
