Some doubts we need to clarify to some possible customers for progeCAD
Hi guys.
We have recently joined the progeCAD resellers program. We found these products very interesting for the mexican market. We have received good responses from possible customers who are yet evaluating the software, but some of them have found some possible issues we can not still solve. Maybe you could give me some advice, please. Here our initial doubts:
1) While working with hatching, we are not able to manage gradients, just solids in any cutomized color, but it is not enough for some of our interested customers.
2) Some of them have told us they can not preview line format changes. It could be a bad thing in some cases where changes are needed in a lot of lines. I think there would be some way to preview them, but I could not find it.
3) One of the prospects founded some issues when working with a lot of planes or with some very complex one. under these conditions progeCAD stops working (it closes), sending an error message without the possibility of saving the work done.
4) The same person argues that when working with AutoCAD line color changes before selecting it, so he can be sure which line he is going to select. This is not so in progeCAD. Given that draws he uses to work with are quite complex, this issue is important for him.
5) The same customer again, says that recover command does not work the same way than in AutoCAD. He argues it does not recover the very last work, but only the very last saved.

Well, maybe you should try the latest version of ProgeCAD and send the queries to their support.

1) progeCAD will, support gradient hatch in the next version available soon
2) Please specify better what is the problem
3) This kind of behavior is usually related to specific drawing, I need sample files to test
4) Selection Highlight will be supported in the next version available soon
5) Recover works on the data available into the DWG file, only the information available can be recovered. By this point of view progeCAD act in the same way than AutoCAD
