I installed a trial version of ProgeCAD. I found saving even moderately large files is very, very slow when compared to AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT. I have found this same phenomenon in earlier versions also. Is it a bug or is it the native behaviour of ProgeCAD. These same files save in split-seconds in AutoCAD. Every year I consider to moving out of AutoCAD or to add an additional CAD seat with other than AutoCAD. I have liked ProgeCAD. (which is why I download trial versions every year) But this slow saving has been consistent in all the versions, which is what really puts me off - which also made me buy AutoCADLT 2006 three years
ago.

Clarification will be greatly appreciated.

With best regards
PRSS

Recently I've been working on steel structure shop drawings. This requires many drawings and in my case, many layouts. To get to a layout tab, such as layout 25, I click the arrow over to the twenty fifth tab. This is very time consuming. It would be a good feature to be able to hold the arrow over key down and scroll. Or be able to select from a menu of existing tabs and go directly to a desire layout.

I'm sure there already exists an easy way to get to a layout tab in progeCAD, but I have not found it yet.

New happenings for progeSOFT North America and the progeCAD brand:
Very soon, with the help of Caddit (http://www.caddit.net) and iCADsales.com (http://www.icadsales.com), new products will be launched to the IntelliCAD community. Running on progeCAD, these new add-ons will allow users to increase their productivity in the areas of land preparation, architecture, and Machining. Look for further announcements here in the near future.

We will follow up and make sure these issues are addressed. I think that is one of the main differences I have seen with the progeSOFT folks compared to other CAD companies I have experiences with in the past, they are constantly focused on removing defects from their products.

I've been using progeCAD for about six months now on a regular basis. This is an impressive budget friendly program. There are a few problems I've had:
1. The text editor is not stable when it comes to holding tabs after a line of text is carried to the next line down. It will look okay in the editor, but when I exit the tabs on the screen are out of place.
2. Sometimes when zooming progeCAD will suddenly zoom out to extents or further.
3. In paper space the objects will vanish until I type regen. There are several other annoiances too.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate some help. Thanks.
Overall I'm happy with progeCAD 2008 - I just need to resolve or live with these issues.
