ProgeCAD 2010 trial - xref clipframe doesn't work properly, pressing clipframe button causes nil message in prompt history window.
Clipping xrefs in custom UCS is impossible or behaves peculiarly ..

PgCAD 2010 trial
Polygonal viewport crop behaves a little bit tricky .. Whenever I try to snap with vport vertex to any entity inside of the vport, the entity bounce away or changes scale, although the model space is off..

Where does one get a trial version of progeCAD 2010?

How can I get the E-track mode more responsive? Now I have to keep the cursor steady for cca 1 - 1.5 sec .... too long.
It would be fine to have the ability to set custom time interval.

Can I customize my mouse buttons? I prefere zooming using scroll wheel while in perspective view. :) (I know about the ctrl+shift + left button ...)

I am playing with trial version of PgCAD 2010.

Agreed. The worst thing that progeSOFT could possibly do is rush the release before it is production ready - for whatever reason.

I think they are getting close. They have a beta out for a few weeks so it must be just around the corner. If you have ever been involved in a software release, and I have been involved in many both on the developer and managerial side, and now many as a distributor, the science of predicting when a product will be finalized is not certain. Often management will set a date to completion which the developers will work hard to meet, but will know in the back of their minds is impossible. This is not necessarily the case with the team at progeSOFT but in general thats the way I have experienced it. My take on the delays are that instead of them being a sign of trouble or angst, is that the team is prepping the software to meet as many tests as can possibly be run to try and work out all details of improvements to make sure there is no lingering problems. This is a good thing. If you have ever upgraded to a new version of something that was rushed out the door then you know the errors that are left in the products can be very frustrating for a user, and can cause a lot of concern for the future of development of a product. I would rather progeSOFT have progeCAD 2010 baked fully before taking it out of the oven than to bite into a half baked pie, so to speak.

What's the scope on progeCAD 2010 and when might it be available for testing?
PRSS Comment by PRSS on March 22, 2009 at 5:03pm
I installed a trial version of ProgeCAD. I found saving even moderately large files is very, very slow when compared to AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT. I have found this same phenomenon in earlier versions also. Is it a bug or is it the native behaviour of ProgeCAD. These same files save in split-seconds in AutoCAD. Every year I consider to moving out of AutoCAD or to add an additional CAD seat with other than AutoCAD. I have liked ProgeCAD. (which is why I download trial versions every year) But this slow saving has been consistent in all the versions, which is what really puts me off - which also made me buy AutoCADLT 2006 three years
ago.

Clarification will be greatly appreciated.

With best regards
PRSS
