Hi All,
Are you interested in seeing AccuRender for IntelliCAD?
AccuRender would be a wonderful add-on to see made available for IntelliCAD.
The incredible renderings it will produce are nothing short of amazing!
The reason I ask is because I had heard about the possibility of AccuRender being available (on this website, I believe) and was excited to hear about this.
Since I read the (what I thought to be great) news, I did a little checking on my own and visited the nXt AccurRender website but only found reference to IntelliCAD on the list of questions asked when applying for a beta download for AccuRender for SketchUp or AccuRender for AutoCAD. No where else on the site did I see anything else about them offering a version compatible with IntelliCAD. (Except for my posts on their forum).
I think the only way we'll ever see a version of AccuRender for IntelliCAD is for everyone wanting this to get over to the AccuRender website ... http://nxt.accurender.com/ ... and let them know that there is a real interest for this to happen within the IntelliCAD community.
At least they have it on the questionair now, so they are testing for a response, I believe ... let's give them one!
There are several ways you could indicate your interest.
1) One would be an email directly to Robert McNeel bob.mcneel@mcneel.com
2) Another way would be to join their forum and comment. http://nxt.accurender.com/forums/
3) Yet another way would be to download one of the other beta versions and answer the questionair.
Note: You may need to follow the link to download and apply for an invitation to join and you will get an email from
Robert McNeel to join ... then you can receive a beta of one of the other platforms available, I chose SketchUP to
see what that was all about.
So, if you are at all interested in seeing AccuRender work on IntelliCAD ...
... please show your interest to Robert McNeel. It's the only way I can see it happening.
....We are the community, however, if you know any other InelliCAD users interested, please ask them to do the same and let it be known on the AccuRender nXt website listed above.
To those who already indicated that AccuRender is going to be available for IntelliCAD, do you know something that I don't? My investigation indicates that it's only a possibility if there is enough interest generated. (Not already in the works as far as I can tell)
If you show your support and then try the beta if/ when it becomes available, you will at least get to use it free for a period of time. I have no idea of time limits or limitations on beta at this time.
I've used AccuRender back in the Dos days and at that time, AccuRender was leagues ahead of the pack and a very nice rendering package with fly-by's, walk-throughs, extensive object libraries, excellent lighting, ray tracing ... and the list goes on. I was very impressed with it then ... I imagine it has and become that much better now.
I thought it very reasonable in price at $495 (I think) for the extensive tools and awesome renderings it could produce.
I don't work for AccuRender nor do I have any interest other than loving the product and wanting to see it available for IntelliCAD.
Thank You,
Dave Brownscombe
